Welcomes!

"In 1899, the streets of New York City echoed with the voices of newsies, peddling the newspapers of Joseph Pulitzer, William Randolph Hearst and other giants of the newspaper world. On every street corner you saw 'em, carrying the banner, bringing you the news for a penny a pape. Poor orphans and runaways, the newsies were a ragged army without a leader, until one day, when all that changed..."

"The Newsies Banner" is a fansite of the 1992 Disney musical "Newsies". This is the beginning of my ongoing project, and by the end of it you will be able to find lyrics to the songs, information about the real Strike, buttons, ribbons and banners, photos of Spot, photos of the newsies (and Spot), the cast and credits. (maybe even more). I just started the site, and the first thing I will put up will be the song lyrics sometime this week. Only a few things are linked as of now, but I put the un-linked text so you can see what will be on the site in a few weeks when i finish it up. Updates will come, even after the site has finished.
