How to run steam demos -

Running a steam demo is very similar to the old WON method. Put the .dem file into the DMC folder which will look something like this -

Steam/SteamApps/Deathmatch Classic/DMC/ (this folder will contain subfolders related to DMC such as maps and sounds)

Then simply open steam DMC and in the console type

playdemo demoname

for example -

playdemo dm3_3comboXtreme

although upper and lower case doesn't matter. Its sometimes easier to rename your .dem files, such as 1.dem. Then the command would be

playdemo 1

I dont advice using demo programs, my experience with them was kinda buggy and I can guarantee that this technical method works everytime. If anyone needs to know how to play old WON demos, it is the same as steam, but put the .dem file in the Sierra/DMC folder (or counter-strike/dmc folder depending on how you installed).
