Nick: [pFc]Pix

Name: Rich

Age: 29

Info: I like to get a lot of exercise (usually squash, walking or the gym), play the guitar, watch classic movies and spend far too much time playing dmc.

My favourite games of all time are :-

Multiplayer games -

DMC –The only online multi-player game I’ve ever stuck with for more than a few days.

C&C – Played a lot of this with my housemates as a student – we would probably have been playing doom if we could afford pcs that would have run it at the time.

Sensible Soccer – Another one from my student days. Very fast game with deceptively simple gameplay (bit like dmc).

Single player games:-

I’ll show my age with this selection but here they are:-

Ultima Underworld – Love the whole series and Ultima 7 is arguably better but this game was the one that got me started. The first true 3d pc game (its older than Wolfenstein!), amazing graphics at the time, great story, game balance and one of the best endings ever.

Monkey Island 2 – I grew up on adventure games and would still be playing them if people were making them. I could have picked any from about 20 but went for MI2 for the humor, bizarre puzzles and the music sounds great through an mt-32.

Xwing – This was a fantastic game– it played like a simulator more than an arcade game and required real skill and tactics to complete. It took a long time to reach the death star missions at the end but they were worth the effort.

DMC talk

Started DMC: Xmas 2004. Finally got broadband in my remote bit of the country and had just finished hl2 so thought I would try some online games. Had a go at cs and couldn’t see why anyone bothered, but found dmc on the steam list, gave it a go and was hooked pretty much straight away.

I started work on DMQ around March/April 2005. I had no intention of creating a whole mod at first – I just wanted to have a look at making the jump work like qw and it sort of escalated from there.
