I'm
in the process of loading some new songs on MP3.com but for
some reason I forget how to make MP3s out of my sound files.
I know, it's dumb but I can't remember. I'll figure it out.
The new cd is coming along with some help from some new friends.
It's rumored that the Uptown Horns might be blowing on a song
and we've recently acquired first round draft pick James Williams
on keys and guitar. Scouting reports tell us that he's one of
those 'Jay Bennett' types... We've also been joined by Danny
Ott on guitar and lap steel. Danny is one of the sweetest guys
I've ever met. A true gentleman on and off guitar. I remember
bumping into him at last year's Gramfest in Joshua Tree and
I'm just in awe of his playing.
So,
you might think the album is almost done? Well, it's getting
closer. Just overdubs and mixing left now. I'm going in the
studio tomorrow to do some more touch ups and I can't wait to
hear what Chuck did while I was gone! I guess he went in one
night and did a night full of percussion overdubs - I didn't
know you could spend a whole night doing that!
We're
getting back out into the clubs very soon, looks like the beginning
of June will be the first of it and we're looking to hit the
circuit as soon as we finish this record up.
