AC/DC were a little, loud, raunchy band from Australia that always seemed to be the warm up gig for Aerosmith & Ted Nugent in the middle 70's. They were somewhat of a novelty as a band with Angus' schoolboy outfit and riffing guitar work. After the unfortunate death of Bon Scott, They have since rose to superstar headliner status with the release of the album "Black in Black". I just laugh to myself when I go to company functions/dances and they play "Shook Me All Night Long" on the dancefloor! Sandwiched between YMCA and the Bee Gees. Hilarious! They are one of the top ten hard rock acts of all-time.

One of the best concerts I'd been to was three straight days at the Cow Palace with AC/DC. The same warmup band sucked each night. It rained on us while we were in line to get in. A .99 plastic tarp made it bearable. It was the "for those about to rock" tour and Angus, Brian, Malcom and the boys did just that...ROCKED! It was 3 days of fun. Angus being carried thru the crowd and then mooning everyone up on stage. Classic! I loved it when Brian hit the "Hell's Bell" with the sledgehammer to start the shows. By the time the third show was half over, I was incapacitated! Too much excess caught up to me.
It was great! It is a shame that bands like AC/DC don't tour more often, those that were able to see them over the years are indeed fortunate.
Some of my favorite AC/DC songs:
- Hell's Bells
- Touch Too Much
- If You Want Blood...
- Shoot To Thrill
- Shot Down In Flames
