Word Gets Around

The Stereophonics debut album Word gets Around, is based on the phonics home town of Cwmaman. As the title suggests, in the small village everyone knows, everyone elses business. The album begins with a song, that contains one of the most amazing lines, that i have heard for a long time: "It only takes one tree,to make a thousand matches, only takes one match to burn a thousand trees."

To album closes with a song,"Billy Daveys Daughter" that is very powerful, and amazing track when performed live. A truly fantastic debut album, from a band who a destined to go a long way!

Performance and Cocktails

This is the very long awaited, and anticipated follow up to Word gets Around. Since the release of the debut Album, The Stereophonics have built up a very big fan base, especially in Wales. The opening song, Roll Up And Shine is a very hard and heavy track, much like some of the others. Yet there are some lighter tracks on the album, such as Hurry Up And Wait. Then you have songs such as Pick A Part Thats New, which is a very lively, and toe-tapping kind of track.

The albums finishes off with a song, I Stopped To Fill My Car Up, which is very much like Billy Daveys Daughter, just deduct the guitar. You never know what to expect from The Stereophonics, as they just get better and better. They have definitely made their mark on the music world, and they are here to stay.

Just Enough Education to Perform

The Eagerly awaited third album by The Phenomenal Stereophonics is a very mature disc, that will surely get them noticed by people, who previously chose to ignore them. This album puts the welsh lads into a world of their own. With the usual style of opening with a rocking number, Vegas Two Times is delivering the phonics new American rock style straight to the listeners.

The album does melow down some what, but with tracks like Have A Nice Day, and Step On My Old Size Nines, it lets Kelly, and the lads really shine. Finishing off the album, as they mean to go on. The rock theme seem to be their style. The lads have only really just begun to show us what they are really made of, and are just giving us a taste of what is yet to come. Plenty more rock, and very catchy melodies. Truly Fantastic!
