During The Summer Of 1978, i bought the Ramones "leave home"on cassette at the woolworths in Havre, Montana. I found i could pluck my SG copy along with most of the songs, Revelation! ...'Rocket to Russia'; 'it's alive' ...'Road to ruin' was one of three 8-tracks playing all summer (1978) out at the Halfpipe. Their pure visceral punk cover was my constant companion. when Joey died this year, i sat down and played Ramones songs on my acustic. For the first time i really felt the sadness and loneliness in Joey's lyrics. This homemade recording is my love letter and thank you to Joey + The Ramones for giving me a push.
