Welcome to the Home Page of Michael Raymond

Michael Raymond was born and raised in Rhode Island and is currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Michael has been playing the clarinet since the fourth grade and along the way has had experience playing multiple other instruments including flute, saxophone, and trombone. As a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island, Michael has played clarinet in the University’s concert band, symphonic wind ensemble, and clarinet ensemble. He has also participated in jazz ensembles, marching band, and pep band on tenor and baritone saxophone. He is in his third semester of private lessons with Jonathan Towne, clarinetist with the United States Coast Guard Band, and his first semester of private viola lessons with Ann Danis. Michael serves on the executive board of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Fraternity for College and University Band Members. He is also a member of the University of Rhode Island Chapter of the Music Educators National Conference and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
