Now Playing: HOPE FOR HARMONY
Topic: Kathryn Toyama

KATHRYN TOYAMA: Hope for Harmony

Lyrically evocative piano compositions with purity of heart and a peaceful purpose. Allow your soul to drift on a soothing yet melodic healing journey.

"The new album by pianist Kathryn Toyama, is by turns, lovely, passionate, and haunting and at moments, all three. Toyama weaves magic on the keyboard, throws a net and pulls the listener in. Spellbinding." ~ Kathleen Wallace King, Novelist & Screenwriter

Through an intensely sincere piano performance and personal cathartic journey, Kathryn's debut album gently implores the chance for harmony in our changing world, while sending an inspiring message to foster human relationships, personally and globally.

Emotionally eclectic, yet coherent, each piece unfolds on a journey to heal the heart, transporting the listener to a joyful finale when joined by a refreshingly warm acoustic guitar, played by Richard Alan, in a wondrous dialogue celebrating life. All selections on this album have been selected for air play on the RADIOnages syndicated service.

"Darlene?s singing has always been full of remarkable versatility, and this project is no exception. Her unique approach to these pieces are what sets her apart from the rest of the field. LUNA BLANCA
Now Playing: GUITAR LISLAND
Topic: Richard Hecks

If you want to listen to some great guitar music, this is what you want to listen to. The music is both upbeat and relaxing. Also perfect for background music during those warm summer nights.

The songs are of a consistent nature, yet with distinct melodies so that they don't drone on together into one mass.

This is not a CD of one or two great tunes; it is a great album.

Newage CD
Now Playing: Heart of Matter
Topic: Michael O'Connell
Expanding Sky Music

MICHAEL O'CONNELL's music can be seen as a collection of paradoxical elements at times, blending the meditative with the dynamic, ambient with the starkly present. Other times one can be eased into the flow: mood enhancing elements fusing haunting melodies with provocative sound that suddenly invoke a still, timeless moment. Here the music has as its creative vision the intention to calm or minds, energize our creative spirit, fire our imaginations, and hopefully bring a halt (at least temporarily) to the busyness (business) of our lives, creating a gap, a space where real life, love, and hope can effortlessly flow out of us. So, sit back, relax, and be with the music...currently being featured on international NEWAGE Radio program: 'nuages' series.

It's About the Rose
Mood:  lyrical
Now Playing: www.KGPIANO.com
Topic: Karen M Garrett

Karen Marie Garrett's previous recording (Allure of Sanctuary) offered an abundance of melody and emotion, making it truly a remarkable debut. Her latest recording (It's About the Rose) presents an absolutely stunning evolution in musical styles, textures, virtuosity and emotional depth. She has not departed from what worked so well for her in (Allure of Sanctuary) but has simply dug deeper to create an even richer experience. --Will Ackerman, founder Windham Hill Records

Another beautiful collaboration by pianist Karen Marie Garrett and producer Will Ackerman, Grammy Award winner and founder of Windham Hill Records. It's evident Ms. Garrett went exploring for something new and exciting to share with listeners in this collection of twelve new compositions. Is it New Age, Classical, Pop, or Jazz? We don't know... but it's working, and this album is a passionate work of art!
