Welcome to Tracy's page devoted to the most successful female artist of all time. Born Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone on August 16th 1958 in Michigan, this often controversial, always amazing woman went on to amass an unequalled 32 consecutive UK Top 10 hits and an overall chart track record topped only by the Beatles and Elvis. Enjoy!

Thank you for visiting my web site devoted to Madonna. I won't bore you with a rehash of her extensive biography as you will have heard it all before (and probably better than I could do). I decided to create this site because I just love Madonna. As Madonna herself said in the sleeve notes of 'Something To Remember', so much controversy surrounds her career that very little attention gets paid to her music. So just for her that very thing is what this site is mainly devoted to 'cause that is what I love the most about her!

I was a week away from my 14th birthday when 'Holiday' entered the UK charts and Madonna first came to light over here. However, it was 10 months later that she really made an impression on me with the release of 'Like A Virgin'. That was the start of a 16 year (so far!) fascination with everything Madonna. I own every single and album officially released in the UK (and a couple of unofficial ones!) and a good few imports.

I have always admired the way Madonna constanly changes both her musical and satorial style. From the just-out-of-bed look of the early 80's to fifties glamour puss, sex queen to cow-girl and material girl to mother I have loved the way she looks. I was not really a one for immitating her look (except for a few hoover belt bangles and crosses)but she always manages to be a trendsetter rather than a trend-follower. I may not always like some of the stuff she does, the Sex era was probably my least favourite, but I admire her courage to do what she feels she needs to do, and the fact that she is never afraid to court controversy.

Although this site is mainly dedicated to her music there is a small homage to Madonna the actress as well. I feel that she is much maligned as an actress and it is a pity the people who make the transition the other way don't get as much stick!!

The highlight of my Madonna fanship(!) was in 1993 when I finally got to see her perform live. I went to the 'Girlie Show' at Wembley. What a night! I am not ashamed to say that when she came on stage I screamed like the biggest girlie of them all! The version of Holiday she did in that show still gives me goosebumps now!

I couldn't pick my favourite Madonna song or album if my life depended on it, it changes from moment to moment. However I do have a soft spot for 'Like A Virgin' as this was the first song I heard after my daughter was born (Ironic or what!). Please feel free to contact me and tell me what you think of my site, or what you love about Maddie, just use the Contact Me link below.

Most of all please enjoy this small tribute to the phenomenon that is MADONNA, and don't forget: Music makes the people come together!
