 Christmas Performance Calendar

Monday, November 27 – Sing for family and friends at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Gallatin.  Singers should arrive at 6:30 p.m. and we will sing shortly afterwards.  This will be our last rehearsal "pre-performance" concert.  Please invite your family and friends to attend.  Wear your red vest, black skirt or pants, and white shirt.

Thursday, November 30 – Dress Rehearsal at Vol State, 5:30 p.m.  Be prompt, please!  Wear your red vest, black skirt or pants, and white shirt.  (We will get the vest and shirt to you before that date.  Girls should already have their skirts.  Remember black tights and shoes.  Boys, be sure you have black pants and shoes.)  I will need some parent volunteers to help supervise while we are waiting.  On this night we will be free to go once we understand our procedures.  I don’t know how long it will take but not as long as the Vol State Singers will rehearse!

Friday, December 1 – Singers should arrive about 6:30 p.m.and we will sing before intermission.  Dessert is served at 7:00 p.m and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. The second dessert will be served at intermission.  The Vol State Christmas Show will be a dessert & Starbucks coffee affair.  Mr. James Story has invited us to be a part of the program.  If you choose to attend the tickets will be $10.00 per person for 2 desserts, coffee or tea, and the show.  This is a fundraiser for music scholarships at Volunteer  State Community College.  It will be wonderful exposure for our group.

Saturday, December 2 – The GCC will sing after the Christmas Parade in front of City Hall in Gallatin.  We need to be at City Hall to watch the parade and be ready to sing.  After the parade they will light the Christmas Tree and Santa will arrive.  I was told that we probably would sing between 4:30 & 5:00.  We will need to be back at VSCC by 6:30 p.m. for the Saturday performance.

Sunday, December 3 – Sing at Trousdale Place at 3:00 p.m.  Arrive about 2:50 p.m. with your red, white & black uniform.  We sing in the parlor on the left when you enter the house.  Singing sounds wonderful in that room.  There will be refreshments for visitors to enjoy and the singers can enjoy punch and cookies after we sing.  Parents, they always ask for you to give visitors room to come in and hear the singers.  Just be aware that you are not blocking any doorways.

Monday, December 4 – Sing at Morningside of Gallatin at 6:00 p.m. and at Sterlinghouse at 7:00 p.m. Wear your uniform.
