The Gallatin Children's Choir was developed by and is under the direction of Mrs. Susan K. Ciampa.  Mrs. Ciampa is the founder-director of the Choir, which is affiliated with the Gallatin Arts Council.  Mrs. Ciampa is an elementary music specialist in the Sumner County, Tennessee School System.  She received the Bachelors of Music Education from Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky in 1976 and the Master of Arts from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992.  While at Middle Tennessee State University (1990-1992),  Mrs. Ciampa worked with the Campus School Children's Choir as an assistant to Dr. Nancy Boone, Director.  Mrs. Ciampa has also received training in the Kodaly philosophy of teaching music from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.  She is a member of the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE), Music Educators National Conference (MENC), Tennessee Music Educators Association (TMEA), and Middle Tennessee Music Educators Association (MTMEA).
