Information
for Prospective Choir Members
The Gallatin Children’s Choir is an educational program for children.
Its mission is to provide quality music instruction while pursuing
excellence in choral music performance. Choir
members will improve their unison singing skills and begin to sing two-part
treble music; basic vocal technique and score reading will be developed during
the rehearsals. The Gallatin Arts Council partially funds the organization, but the
costs for a music organization are many. The purchase of music, payment for an
accompanist, uniforms, rental fees, costs associated with any concert, etc.,
must all be covered. The tuition for singers in the choir is $125.00.
Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) is due and payable at the first rehearsal.
Remaining payments will be due in October ($25.00), November ($25.00),
January ($25.00), and February ($25.00).
If you need financial assistance please make arrangements to speak
privately with me. If your child becomes a member of the choir we will be
happy to discuss this with you and will keep the conversation confidential.

Black Belt The children selected to sing in the choir are those who demonstrate
above average singing skills: children who sing with accurate pitch, can listen
to a pattern and sing it back accurately, who show ability to sing a round and
who are enthusiastic about singing. If
your child has these abilities he or she will enjoy singing with us!
