One of Sevier County's stars of country and gospel music is making her way through the region this weekend to sign autographs and sell cookbooks.

Dolly Parton's sister, Stella, has joined with Ingles grocery store to promote her cookbooks, and the chain's Million Dollar All American Adventure Game, across east Tennessee, Georgia, and both Carolinas.

"I'll be going around to 23 different stores," Stella Parton said.

Since Ingles doesn't have any locations here, the closest she'll get to Sevier County is two locations in Knoxville, and she'll be traveling in style.

"I'll be arriving on the Million Dollar Motorcoach," she said.

The recreational bus is the grand prize in the store's contest, or the winner can just take $1 million.

"I have published two cookbooks and written a third," Parton said. A portion of the money made during the tour will be left at women's shelters in each town visited. Ingles will "match whatever donation we make."

In addition to her cookbooks, Parton will be promoting her new album, "Blue Heart," set to release later this month.

"It's an all original product," Parton said. "Part of it I recorded in Sevierville."

Her previous album, "Appalachian Blues" is up for nomination in four 2002 Grammy categories.

"I'm having a great time," she said. "We've been meeting a lot of wonderful people."

The Million Dollar Motorcoach will roll into Knoxville today, and stop at two locations.

From 2 to 4 p.m., Parton will be at the Ingles in the Karns community at 7466 Oak Ridge Highway, and from 5 to 7 p.m., she will be at the Ingles in Halls at 7220 Norris Freeway.

The tour ends on April 15 in Asheville, N.C., where Parton will be on hand to present the motorcoach to the contest winner.
