Look into the sky.
Endless blue;
Wisps of moisture float across.
See the bird soaring on the currents,
Tossed and lifted,
Riding the thermals?
Why is it that he rides so smoothly
Through all the bumps and turns of life?
He opens his wings and soars,
And leaves me
Bird, come back...
Will you lift me up?
No, I am too heavy for your wings.
Then take my soul alone
And carry it to the heights.
There, give it to the sun
And let Great Father
Do with it as he will.
