I Will Love You

Chapter 7- First Day Of Class

~*Taylor’s Point Of View*~

I woke up Monday morning to the annoying sound of my alarm clock. It was the first day of class. We had economics and trig today. Fun fun fun. I’ve always hated math with a passion, but it was required if I was going to get a business degree. Sometimes life really sucked that way. I looked around for Amanda, realizing that she wasn’t in bed anymore. That’s when I heard the sound of the shower. Well, since taking a shower was out, I decided to go make a cup of coffee. I could take a shower later. I was just finishing pouring my cup of coffee when Amanda came out of the bedroom.

"Morning Tay."

"Morning Manda." I replied yawning. " Do you want a cup of coffee?"

" I’d love one thanks." I poured Amanda’s coffee just like she liked it; half milk half coffee. She drank it every morning.

" So you ready for class?" I asked, handing her her cup of coffee.

" As ready as I’m gonna be. What about you?"

" Well, aside from despising math, yeah, I’m ready. Besides the sooner I start trig, the sooner I finish it."

" Yeah. Well, at least we have the same schedule this semester."

" Mmhmm, what about Kendra and Ryan? What classes are they taking this semester?"

" Kendra’s taking typing, English Composition I, Freshman English, Calculus I., Trigonometry And Analytic Geometry, Ethics And Society, World Literature, Necessities of Life, Principles of Chemistry I, and Child Psychology. Ryan is taking basically the same courses this semester."

" Oh, what is it Kendra wants to be again?"

" A psychologist."

" Oh, ok, well I’m gonna go take a shower ok?"

" Sure, just be ready in half an hour, cause that’s when we need to leave ok."

" alright."

~*Manda’s Point Of View*~

After Taylor went off to take his shower I went to go get dressed. Deciding to be comfortable, I got dressed in a pair of flared blue jeans and a red turtle neck sweater. I put my hair up in a ponytail and got all of my books and notebooks that I would need for class together so that I wouldn’t forget them. I glanced at the clock on my way out of our bedroom and noticed that I still had twenty minutes until we needed to leave. That left time to eat something, or to relax a bit. Deciding on the later, I sat down and turned the TV on. What a surprise, TRL was on. It seemed to me that whenever I wanted to watch MTV this show was on. Oh well, it was only twenty minutes. Twenty minutes later, Taylor walked out of our room, dressed in a pair of semi-baggy jeans and a tight black shirt.

" Ready to go?" he asked grabbing his keys of the counter.

"Yeah, just let me get my shoes on." I said slipping on my other sandal.

" Ok, I’m ready." I said standing up. I grabbed my messenger bag and headed out the door, Taylor behind me. We took the stairs down to the parking lot. I got in the passenger side and started to play with the radio once Taylor had started the car. Finding nothing else, I left it on ‘Minute Man’.

"I liked this song the first 5 million times they played it, now it’s just starting to get old." Taylor commented of my song selection.

" Yeah, I agree it is starting to get old, but I still like listening to it."

" It’s ok, I never liked it much to begin with so..." We pulled into the parking lot of the University a few minutes later.

" Well, this is it. No turning back." Taylor announced as we sat in his car.

" Yep! C’mon, we don’t want to be late."

" Ugh...happy thoughts, think happy thoughts." He mumbled to himself as he got out of the car. I giggled.

" Oh c’mon it’s not that bad. Even if it is trig. It’s not gonna kill you. Besides, the sooner you go in the sooner the class is over."

" True. Ok, c’mon, let’s go." He said grabbing my hand. We walked in the door to our trig class only to be greeted with a room full of about 100 students, all carrying on conversations. It was very noisy. Taylor and I found two desks towards the other side of the room and sat down. As we did so, a couple of girls in the class recognized Taylor and waved at him. He waved back and they all giggled. I rolled my eyes, and turned towards the front of the class, just as the professor walked in. Everyone sat down in their seats and quieted down. He introduced himself as Dr. McNealson. He seemed very arrogant. Ugh... only 15 weeks...
