Flying In A Blue Dream TAB and MP3's

The first part of the Flying In A Blue Dream solo is quite a sonic pleasure to listen to, all the ups and downs - its really amazing to hear even after having listened to it for years and years now!

One of Joe's favourite techniques is his smooth Legato's. (Legato means: a term used when successive tones are to be produced in a closely connected, smoothly gliding manner.) For all of you modal freaks out there, the solo is in C Lydian, it's a lovely scale to play about in! I recommend a good warmup before this stretchy solo too, it's very difficult to get the notes to sound out clearly because he plays them so fast and close together so I'd say you should really learn the scale pattern and note pattern for C Lydian by heart - it roughly is (on the first section)
