The shadow of a grave statue made her shiver a bit...it looked so alive...
or was it just her imagination? Why couldn’t she go out with her friends, have a
drink or watch a movie like a normal person? But no, she had to go there, where
the only living things you can meet were squirrels or bunnies living in the
forest by.
And there she was, standing in the middle of an old cemetery...alone...Was
she scared? No…she wasn’t afraid of any ghosts or spirits... Why should she? But
it was so peaceful there. Finally she could get away from all those annoying
people, from that cruel and noisy world. There, where embracing of death and
life was so magical – she felt safe...she felt home.
Walking along a little path through the gravestones, she was looking around
and reading messages and names on the monoliths...After a while she went deep
into her thoughts. Nothing could disturb her...she enjoyed this silence so
much...She was thinking about all those dead people. Thinking that maybe she
knew some of them in her past life...And suddenly crazy thought came into her
head: maybe she was also buried here. Well, a body, which her soul used before.
This enigmatic world of evenness captivated her more and more...with every
second she was there.
Then she felt heaviness in her legs...She was very tired so she decided to sit down on an old grave and rest for a while. How far was she? The cemetery was so huge that she didn’t really know her location. She knew only one thing: she couldn’t hear sounds of cars anymore. Just deadly silence... Now her mind started playing jokes on her. She thought she heard gabbling and saw some gleaming between the graves. Hallucinations...its all just hallucinations, she tried to convince herself. Closing her eyes and trying to get away from it she was repeating this over and over again...until she felt someone’s hand on her shoulder. The first thought that arisen in her head was that she is going insane. However she opened her eyes and slowly looked back. Never, never this moment will be erased from her mind – she saw an angel...her angel! He was standing there, still holding his hand on her shoulder, smiling with the most gorgeous smile she ever saw...and this mystical sparkle in his eyes... He smiled at her again and said quietly, ‘ I’m very sorry if I scared you, believe me I didn’t mean to...but really I wasn’t expecting to meet someone like you here...ehm...I wasn’t expect to meet anyone here actually...’
For a moment she didn’t know what to say, but she couldn’t just sit and look at him, although she realized that she could spend all her life just looking at him. She never saw so much grace in one person, especially in a guy. He was too perfect to be true. ‘ You didn’t scare me...Eeemm why you didn’t expect to see someone like me here?’...The angel answered,’ Well, I don’t usually meet beautiful girls in the middle of cemeteries ...at the night time...Oh excuse me, I forgot to introduce myself...’ Was he joking? Introduce himself? She knew perfectly who he was. At the dark it was difficult to recognize him at the beginning, but his voice…Voice, she heard so many times coming out of her CD player, she recognized immediately. But what was he doing there? Probably she was sleeping and seeing the most magnificent dream ever…If so, she was planning to enjoy it as much as she could! So she told him her name and explained that she likes coming to the graveyards at night because it’s beautiful and quiet here. ‘ Nice to meet you,’ he replayed,’ But...ehm...This is the first time I’m here and I’m kinda lost in this maze...’ he gave her that ‘angel-like-smile’ and asked,’ Maybe you could help me to find my way out?’
He helped her to stand up, took her hand and looked into her eyes...and all life was erased... They walked through the cemetery hand in hand, like they knew each other for ages. Like it was meant to be... just them two... All her worries were fading away with every beat of his heart...She just wished to stop the time and stay in that magical moment forever...whether she was dreaming or not....
Thank you sooo much Alissa :)
