Last week I took this lady out,
For dinner at Chez Moulon,
Things were great til the check came,
All the credit on my card was gone...
Boy that one stung me,
What? Some humble pie?
Oh, no thanks buddy,
Sorry,I`m not hungry!

Served up by a waiter,
Humble pie,
Washin dishes twenty minutes later...
Reality bites but don`t ask why,
Just smile and eat that humble pie.
Last night I had her toes curling,
Thought I was Don Juan,
But she was quick to point out,
She still had her stockings on...
Ouch, hey that one hurt,
Man life is tough,
Another slice of humble pie,
Coming for dessert.
Humble pie,
Served up by some honey,
Humble pie,
Don`t be laughing it`s not funny...
It`s seems to be the dessert du jours,
Just think the next piece might be yours.

So when you`re put in your place,

Yeah, with that look upon your face,

It`s an all you can eat buffet,
