And Now A Wordfrom Brandon "Jayson" Ulman
So, in a fit of extreme boredom, I decided to watch VH1 & Blender's Fifty Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever. It was an okay list, and it was hard to disagree with a lot of the choices, but something about the whole thing kind of bugged me. And it wasn't just that Sisqo's treacherous "Thong Song" was only at a shockingly low No. 23. Rather, it was the fact that the list was presented on VH1 in a gratingly smug holier-than-thou tone. I mean, a lot of these songs were in heavy rotation during their reigns of popularity...on VH1. So, to sit there and listen to them tell us that they knew these songs were awful all along...is a bit too much to swallow. In fact, I can remember distinctly how they played to death the Bryan Adams song ("The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You") they now so casually dismiss. A note to VH1: Get over yourselves. Also, cut back on the let's-mock-everything format of TV programming. It's getting old. Fast. + In actual chart news, I want to point out the return of Mis-Teeq's "Scandalous." The song first peaked at No. 7 last May, and as the UK single finally sees a US release, it re-enters at No. 45.

Quote of the week: “It's like they gave the camera to a monkey,” Debra (Patricia Heaton), commenting on photos Ray took and then tried to pass off as professional, on Everybody Loves Raymond.

THE END. Thank you very much.
