And
Now A Word…from Brandon
"Jayson" Ulman |
|
|
As
Janet Jackson scores her third week on top of the singles list with
"Just A Little While," her CD tumbles to No. 3 to make room for two
huge gainers, Nellie McKay and Joss Stone.
The two young ladies with retro sounds were my two favorite CDs of the
week, welcome remedies to all of the so-so stuff radio forces me to listen
to. Seven weeks ago, McKay missed a
No. 1 debut, arriving in second place behind then-fave Holly Valance, who
holds on pretty well at No. 6. +
Storming onto the TrackList at No. 27 are The Corrs, whose new single,
"Summer Sunshine," seems like the perfect preview to what I'm
expecting to be a great summer... I
don't know why I'm expecting it to be so good, but I just know it will
be. Yay, June! + Ben Jelen continues
to make a fast rise with debut single "Come On." After debuting at No. 45 a mere two weeks
ago, the song is already in the Top 25 and looking to become a steady
mainstay in the Top 10 fairly soon, thanks to its gorgeous melodies and
swooning bridge. + So, that's all the news that fits. Til next week, I'm
outie. |

Quote of the week: "Let's
roll around in the cow sh*t honey!" -- My
friend, John, to his pretend wife, Lauren, as he walks through a freshly
fertilized lawn, and after I tell him what he's walking in. |
