09.30.02 {wallflowers tour}
the wallflowers recently announced that the band Ours will be opening for them on the first leg of the fall tour.  stay tuned for details/ confirmed dates.  one UNconfirmed date so far has surfaced. (nov. 23 @ the house of blues in chicago)

(FYI: (wallflowers' connection)  Ethan Johns, who appears on the Trampoline Compilation ( & also played some drums on BDTH), produced Our's cd which will be released the same day as Red Letter Days (i like ours a lot, but i know which cd i will grab first!)

the c.s.i. episode with the wallflowers has been moved to oct. 3rd.  the wallflowers will perform Everybody Out of the Water, from their new cd Red Letter Days. 
if you can't wait for their cd to be released, you can buy the c.s.i. soundtrack, which is in stores now.

*right now the gap ad with jakob is being aired, he's performing a cover of peace, love, & understanding

*the wallflowers (including the new tourist guitarist, Yogi)  recorded a new song called "The Empire in my Mind" that will be used as the theme song for the CBS series "the Guardian,"  the show will premiere Tuesday, September 24th at 9:00 p.m. (eastern & pacific time)
according to yahoo the creater of the show, "Hollander said he listened to a lot of Wallflowers tunes when he was writing the pilot for "The Guardian" a couple years back. "Their music was part of the fabric of what was emotionally influencing me as I wrote the pilot," "  
although the song will not appear on Red Letter Days, Jakob says that they will try to include it somewhere else, perhaps as a bonus cd

*the wallflowers can also be seen performing "everybody out of the water" on the season premiere of CSI which airs Sept. 26th

*the wfs performed at the rock and roll hall of fame on sept. 3rd, which was taped and will air on MTV on December 11th

*the video for When You're on Top was filmed recently and directed by Marc Webb.  Right now the video is in the editing process and will be aired soon
