Question: Matchbox 20: Is it hard traveling around and always being on the road
with each other....
DcMatchbox: <--listening.

DcMatchbox: <---blabbing at the bit. At first it was nuts...had to learn to pace ourselves...rest etc...but it gets easy...being away from Home is always tough...but you meet a lot of new people and I love my job
Question: How did you come up with the name Matchbox 20?
DcMatchbox: It was our drummer pal just kinda thought of it off a t-shirt with some patches nothing too exciting I like to think of it as from his Grandmother? She hits the sauce pretty hard. = )~
DigCPluto: hehehe
Question: What artists do you guys like?
DcMatchbox: Us as a band we're pretty diverse ani difranco Chet Baker, Ummm....Andy Gibb? Ooops...slipped.

DcMatchbox: Just about everything you can name...we love it all...from rock to R&B
Question: I love your cd will there be one coming out anytime soon?
DcMatchbox: Hey take it easy we're still working this one baby! ::big smile:: We will probably start at the end of the year getting new stuff together. After we nap for a bit,. = )~ aH
Question: Are any of those girls in 3am your girlfriend?
DcMatchbox: All OF THEM. OK....kinda kidding...no not really...just Actors...models...dog groomers.

Question: What is your opinion of MTV? Do you enjoy making videos or is it a
necessary evil?
DcMatchbox: It is fun as heck..I mean you stand around a lot but Heck. I could be diggin ditches. I wont complain about that stuff. It is cool.

Question: Is it true you are going to be on Live From the 10 Spot?
DcMatchbox: I am not sure about the 10 spot...I know I like the show on TV. = )
Question: I'm working on performing in a school Talent Show with a couple of
friends. I play guitar and sing, what advice do you have for us while onstage??
DcMatchbox: Don't be nervous...be prepared...if you have your #$@! together...you shouldn't be nervous either you will mess up or not...don't worry about it...just do it baby!
Comment: Rob, wanted to ask how you came up for the ideas for your songs and
wanted to tell you I love your album every single song!!
DcMatchbox: And always have fun with whatever you do.
Question: I'm going to be seeing you guys this Thursday night in Fayetteville,
Arkansas. Good luck! My question is: what are some of your inspirations?
DcMatchbox: I love ROB! I wish I could hear HIM sing. OUR Rob writes our songs...
he gets the ideas through life experiences living large having fun not having fun.
All about life. The same as what we listen to...EVERYTHING!
Question: Hey there guys....Happy Valentine's Day....my name is Olivia and my
question to you is...Now that the band is successful (Congrads!) How did it
feel to hear your song on the radio for the first time?
DcMatchbox: I remember when we all heard it for the first time together..we were in a
van back than driving through Texas we had a cassette on and popped it out just as we did the opening licks to long Day came on..we all just froze THAN SCREAMED and beat the roof! It was a cool moment.
Comment: Happy 26th Birthday Rob!!! I'm having a party tonight in your honor. I
think you guys are the greatest. In fact, my friends call me "The Overly-Obsessed Rob Lover" I know that sounds bad, but its actually not! I think you all are the greatest.
Question: Rob you're a great song writer and I was wondering what the story behind
"Hang" is?
DcMatchbox: I will tell Rob you send the love his way he appreciates everyone giving him the love this day...thanks!

Question: You guys "borrowed" Doug and Bryan from Better Than Ezra... BTE is
about to do some dates. Are you going to give them back? :) -Syd
DcMatchbox: LOL....Dougie is OURS! He has no choice, we love him and he dances. Like a friend we set him free and he came back......he's ours! = )
Comment: I saw you guys perform at the American Music Awards, you guys were great! You all looked absolutely gorgeous! And I am positive you guys will win a
Grammy. You guys deserve it more than any other band I know.
DcMatchbox: Thank You....we are just excited to be nominated. It is quite the honor.
Question: In a lot of bands the lead singer gets a lot of the attention and I was
wondering if sometimes this causes any stress between the band members?
DcMatchbox: We just lock him in the bus when we need to meet the ladies?
DcMatchbox: <---kidding. We are good with it...he carries quite the load being the front man...sometimes I don't envy him at all. Kinda crazy.
DigCPluto: LOL I always suspected....
Question: Are you guys friends outside of the group??
DcMatchbox: Yes.....we are together every day of the year. We have to be sure. You want to kill each other, only natural, but there is a lot of love between us. WE are brothers! = )
Comment: MATCHBOX 20 is the best band I have ever heard. I AM THE BIGGEST FAN!!
Question: What Are You Guys Doing For Valentine's Day?
DcMatchbox: Well as you may know it is Robby's birthday. We are in Atlanta
doing a show and than..party with Mr. Thomas!
Question: Of all of your songs what is your favorite one
DcMatchbox: Hard to say....I like a lot of them...some days it changes...today I like the Freshman.....Oops...that's not OUR song. Oh well. ; )
Question: Will you be coming back to Atlanta later in the year since the show
tonight sold out in four minutes? I was third in line and didn't get tickets. :(
DcMatchbox: I am so sorry...it was nuts I hear...can I make ya some pasta instead?

Question: How does it feel to be this big so fast?
DcMatchbox: It kinda seemed like a ladder to us... didn't go SO fast...I mean relatively speaking, may seem fast to everyone, but we watched the stuff creep up the charts...
ya know...started in a van...worked to a bus...etc. Fast for a new band I guess, but to us it was fun and a good pace!
DigCPluto: You've certainly got a lot of excited people in your corner out there :)
