Latest Article on JayZ

As he continues to blow up the airwaves with his current single, "Hey Papi" (from the Klumps soundtrack), Jay-Z is already laying the ground work for his next project, The Dynasty: Roc La Familia 2000 album. The project will serve as Jay's fifth album and will feature Roc-A-Fella family members Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel, and Amil, in addition to Scarface, Snoop Dogg, and R. Kelly. Producers on the album include Just Blaze, Rocwilder, and Rick Rock. Jay just finished shooting the video for "I Just Wanna Love You (Give It To Me)," the album's first single (produced by The Neptunes). The video was directed by Dave Meyers last week in Bel Air, California, and includes cameos by Lil' Kim, Lil' Cease, and Lil' Mo, in addition to Jay's Roc-A-Fella family. "With everything that went on this year, I had a lot on my mind and wanted to introduce the world to my family," Jay-Z explained in an official statement announcing the album's impending release. The Dynasty: Roc La Familia 2000 is scheduled to arrive on October 31, almost one year after the release of Jay's multi-platinum LP, Vol. 3: The Life and Times of S. Carter. Meanwhile, Jay-Z is featured on the big screen in Backstage, the Dimension/Roc-A-Fella Films documentary of the highly-successful Hard Knock Life Tour. He also contributes several songs to that film's soundtrack, DJ Clue Presents: Backstage Mixtape.
