There is no definitive information about the parents of Sarah Meakins, the wife of Francis West. Because this is a line that links to the original Mayflower families (i.e., George Soule), there has obviously been much conjecture about who Sarah Meakins's parents might have been. One frequently found version is that Thomas Meakins and Mary Bunce were her parents. This version would extend the pedigree out several more generations. These generations have been deemed spurious here and are not included. Mayflower genealogists tend to be very thorough in their research and pains must be taken to spot the zealous amateur's attempts to link to the Mayflower families. I include this Thomas Meakins and wife Mary ????? because they are so frequently listed as Sarah Meakins's parents, although many pedigrees also omit all information about her parents.
