Chapter 11: Hungry Eyes

"I've been meaning to tell you, I've got this feeling that won't subside, One look at you and I fantasize, Darlin' tonight. Now I've got you in my sights, with these hungry eyes."
"Jax, c'mon I am already late for the reservations." AJ urged. Jackee smiled knowingly.
"But I want to look at the ducks!" She exclaimed pointing at the lake out of the window. He laughed at her childishness.
"OK fine we can look at the ducks for a while." He said caving in.
She smiled warmly and he could tell she had been waiting for this night as long as he had. Tonight he would lie no longer. Tonight he would tell her the truth. Jackee played with the ducks for awhile before deciding she was ready to go to dinner now.
"C'mon I am hungry." She urged as she pulled him to the car. He laughed at her sudden change of opinion.
"You are too much doll, too much." He emphasized. She giggled and he couldn't help but join her while he drove away from the ducks.
"So where are we going" she asked suddenly aware that she was unaware of the place she would soon be dining.
"OH you will love it, but I doubt you have ever been there." AJ commented.
"Tell me!" She urged pulling on his arm. Just happy to be near him, she finally leaned her head against his shoulder since he obviously wasn't going to respond soon.
He smiled, although she didn't see it. He was incredibly happy for the first time in his life he was doing the right thing with the right person, how could have ever lived without her and still enjoyed life. How could he had gone on tour all those years and not realize that there was someone that would one day wait for him while he was, someone like her.
Jackee fell asleep on the drive there. He was glad, because he didn't want her seeing it yet anyway. He carried her to a blanket set up just for them. On the blanket the food was carefully laid out and once he sat down beside her she rolled over. He laughed to himself, amazed that one person could make you so happy.
"Hey Jax, we are here." He announced. She rolled over, opened her eyes which were met with those of the dark blue sky. A silhouette of the trees and the candles he had set up made their picnic type dinner very romantic.
"Wow, AJ" She finally said looking up at him.
He smiled, glad she was enjoying it.
‘This is amazing,’ Jackee thought to herself. ‘I get an amazing guy and all this.’ She prayed that it would never end.
"Wine milady?" Offered AJ.
She nodded as the romantic dinner began.
After their main course of stuffed Cornish hens, he began to stare at her. (JN: Cornish what? Interesting Em…hehehe :) )
"What?" She asked afraid something was stuck in her teeth or something equally horrible.
"I want to be with you." He proclaimed.
"I want to be with you too, wasn't that obvious?" She asked confused.
"But before that I want you to know the truth." He explained. She nodded urging him on. "You see up until yesterday I was dating someone. I know that being with her and trying to get with you was wrong. But to be perfectly honest I had forgotten about her until Brian reminded me." AJ shared.
Jackee was completely swept away. He was being honest and charming at the same time, what more do you need in a man; she reasoned. Instead of responding verbally she leaned over and lightly kissed him. Once the initial shock wore off the kiss grew until they both parted at the same time out of breathe.
"Wow." AJ whispered. She smiled. They had a real dessert of German Style Cheesecake before they spoke again.
"Jackee, will you go out with me?" AJ asked to make it all formal.
She burst out laughing out of no where, most likely because of the wine. "NO." She said sarcastically still laughing.
He kissed her to shut her up even though he too was about ready to join her in her laughing spat. That began a long make out session.
"AJ, its 3 am" Jackee announced later that evening.
"Don't stop." He begged trying to kiss her some more. Realizing she wasn't going to respond he kissed her neck instead.
"AJ, come on I need to get home; Em is there by herself she is probably worried sick." Jackee explained. He got the idea that the mood is broken and knew he should drive her home.

“They are gone." Em informed the man on the receiving end of the phone.
"I'll be right over." He announced. She smiled and ordered Chinese Food. Soon after the food arrived, he did. They embraced as if old friends.
"So how did it go?" she asked him.
"I told her I didn't feel anything, anymore for her." He said with a hint of sadness.
"Let go Brian, and just come to me." Em advised.
He did and hugged her again. The embrace got his mindset to a happier one and they ate dinner acting like dorks.
"I rented a movie." He announced. She smiled and looked up, her mouth full of the fortune cookie she just stuffed in it.
"I rented the Sixth Sense" He elaborated.
"Seen it." She announced.
"So? I haven't" He retaliated. Then they made faces and giggled at each other. They popped the movie in and began to watch the 'Sixth Sense'. They held hands for the first half hour but she became restless and shifted herself to his lap. There he tried to concentrate on the movie while playing with her long golden brown hair. (EN:Its blonde-brown, weird color I know...) She tried to also concentrate on the movie but her thoughts kept drifting to him and her.
