"Come on Jill, we're gonna be late if we don't leave now," Alli called out to Jill.
"Alright, I'm ready. Let's go," she yelled back.
When they got to work their assistant Candice was already there. She was very spunky and energetic and was their right hand.
"Jeff wants you both in his office," she told them bouncing in with her brown eyes shining.
She was a few years younger than them and was working on her internship. She was kind of crazy but a very hard worker.
"Should I hold all your calls?" she asked pushing her shoulder length dark hair behind her ears.
"Yes, we don't want to be disturbed," Alli told her.
They walked into Jeff's office both feeling a little apprehensive about the project.
"Did the two of you come up with any celebrities for the show?" Jeff asked them.
"Yeah, we came up with four or five names," Jill told him.
"Good, because the producers want to tape the show this Friday instead of next," Jeff informed them, "Since Saturday is Valentine's Day."
"They want to do what?" Jill asked in shock.
"You heard me. So what did y'all come up with?"
"We have Joshua Jackson, James van der Beek, Scott Speedman, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Seth Green." Alli informed him.
"That's a good list. I'm glad you have some back up names on the list." Jeff told them.
"What about the girl?" Jill asked.
"We're leaving that up to you also. You'll actually need to have two girls lined up. We want to tape two shows." he said.
"So does that mean we have to have four celebrities lined up?" Alli asked him.
"Oh yeah, small detail. Do you think that will be a problem?"
A knock came on Jeff's office door. Candice poked her head in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but Alli has a call," she told them.
"Can you take a message?" Alli asked her.
"He said it was an emergency," Candice informed her.
A million thoughts raced through her mind. She started panicking as she briskly walked to her office.
"This is Allison, can I help you?" she said into the receiver.
"Hey beautiful," the voice answered back.
"Joey? What are you doing calling here?" she asked.
"This isn't Joey, this is Chris," he told her, feeling a little sting.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Is something wrong? My assistant said it was an emergency," Alli questioned.
"I was just making sure you were okay. You were pretty drunk at the club Saturday night and I wanted to make sure you were feeling okay."
Alli thought it was weird for Chris to be calling, especially at work. She was kind of annoyed at the emergency stunt he had pulled. They finished up the conversation and she headed back down the hall, running into Jill.
"We're done. I gave the list to Candice and she's gonna book the guys. Who was that on the phone?" Jill asked her.
"How weird is this? It was Chris on the phone," Alli told her.
Jill had a puzzled look on her face. She looked even more confused than Alli.
"Why would he be calling you?" Jill asked.
"I don't know but I think I might need to sit him down and explain that I'm with Joey and not interested," Alli told her.
"I think you should too," Jill said as they stepped into their office.
They got to work forming questions for the upcoming show and discussed some possible ideas. After lunch Candice came in and said she had lined up four of the five guys on the list and the fifth would be on standby.
"Thank god," Alli said.
"I know, what a relief," Jill agreed, "And we thought this was gonna be hard. It was a piece of cake."
They were compiling a list of possible girl contestants.
"Who can we get?" Jill asked.
"I don't know. I don't really think any of these tapes we looked at are any good," Alli said.
"Hey," Candice said enthusiastically, "What about your sisters? They're cute and young and I know they'd be great."
Jill and Alli looked at each other and cracked up laughing.
"They're gonna love us!" Jill told Alli.
"That's a great idea, Candice." Alli told her. Candice stepped out to answer her ringing phone.
"I can't believe we didn't think of them," Jill said.
Candice came bounding into the office, "Houston, we have a problem!" she told them.
