Nothing Between Us

Words and music by Barbara Keith Ferrara

I drove into the desert because by soul was torn
After you said there's nothing between us;
And I sat in the canyon where they say the world was born,
And truth is skinned down to the bone.

And as I framed a picture within the camera lens
Part of some mystery was revealed,
The light of the eons came twirling through time
And it reconciled me as it healed...saying there’s

CH: Nothing between us, earth below, sky above,
Nothing between us but love.

I sat in the canyon, listening to the wind,
Questioning the nature of the game;
Where senses entangled a love that was true,
‘Till it died and decayed into shame.

And lost within the battle of illusion and pride,
On a field of spiraling stars,
Your words of anger were truly justified,
Now I see their meaning from afar, 'cos there's

Nothing between us, earth below, sky above,
Nothing between us but love.

So if by chance we meet when the universe allows
It will be a sign the fates agree;
Renewed and forgiven, and free as the birds
We will smile so everyone can see.... there’s

Nothing between us, earth below, sky above,
Nothing between us but love.
