Garden

Words and music by Bobbi Keith

1. I sat in my garden on a sunny afternoon
And I thanked all the angels for giving me some room
Where I could let my mind soar on the wings of a blue jay
As he flew from branch to bower in his mother nature's way.

2. Ten years ago I chose to forsake the world of men
And to steal some timeless wisdom then to give it back again
To walk the ways of hunger for my Lord, the eternal one;
And to plant a living garden by the moon, the stars and the sun.

BR. There's a woman on my TV but her children they are gone,
And she stares in blank confusion at what we have done.

3. (as 1) I sat in my garden on a sunny afternoon
And I thanked all the angels for giving me some room
Where I could let my mind soar on the wings of a blue jay
As he flew from branch to bower in his mother nature's way.
