Steven Page
First off, let
me say that
this man has the most remarkable voice I
have ever heard. Anyway, Steven and Ed
founded Barenaked Ladies in 1988 when
they were both 18. They are now 29.
Steven plays the guitar, the flute
and, of course, sings. He is married to
Carolyn Ricketts and they have two sons,
Isaac and Benjamin. He and Ed write all
of BNL's songs. Occasionally Steven will
write with his mentor Stephen Duffy.
Another fun fact- Steven seems to have a
habit of streaking.
Ed Robertson
Ed
and Steven met at a music camp in
Toronto and "just clicked right away" So
begins the story of BNL. Ed plays the
guitar, banjo, and the mandolin. He also
does vocals and has an excellent voice.
Ed is married to Natalie Herbert. They
have a daughter named Hannah and a new son whom I believe is named Owen. Ed has two
cats, a dog, and some fish. He has a
fish tatoo on one arm and a Canadian flag on the other.
Tyler
Stewart
Tyler is the Barenaked drummer.
Hes...goofy.And kinda kinky, I guess. That is the best word I can
think of to describe him, besides a
great
drummer. He had a waitress fetish, but I
guess thats over since he married a
schoolteacher named Jill. This was
sometime in 1998. Tyler grew up in New
Market, Ontario and joined BNL in 1990 when he met the guys at a buskers festival in Toronto.
Jim Creeggan
Jim has
awesome hair.
Flaming, if you will. He plays a double
upright bass and electric bass guitar.
Jim and Andy Creeggan have two albums
out, simply titled The Brothers Creeggan
and The Brothers Creeggan 2. In high school he was in track and actually set some records. Sorry,
thats all I really know about Jim.
Kevin Hearn br> Kevin is a keyboard and sample guy, but his true passion is the accordion. He took the place of Andrew Creeggan on tour, but never played on an album until STUNT. Andy left the band to persue acedemic intrests. Kevin has a solo album out called Mothball Mint, and used to play ina band called The Look People. He recently recovered from leukemia and is now cancer free(YEA!!!!!!!!!) I saw him when I sat First Row (ahem) on New Years Day 2000 and he looked great. He even took it upon himself to stand on his piano.
