  • June: Recitals aboard P&O's ARCADIA on a Mediterranean cruise from Britain
  • June 27th to September 1st: 11th tour in Australia, with 20 concerts. Included were performances of the Rachmaninoff "Concerto No.2 in C minor" with the Zelman Memorial Orchestra (Melbourne area) and the Chopin "Concerto No.1 in E minor" with the Cairns Youth Orchestra.
  • September: Recitals aboard P&O's ORIANA on a Mediterranean cruise from Britain
  • Early October: Soloist with the Warren (Ohio) Philharmonic in the Gershwin "Rhapsody in Blue"
  • Early November: Recitals and masterclasses at the University of Kansas in Lawrence and at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln
  • Late November: Recital in Oranjestad, Aruba

Concerts in 2000:

  • A recital at the University of Central Florida in Orlando in early January
  • A tour from March 10th to March 27th in West Africa, organized through the Public Affairs Officers of the American Embassies in the relevant countries. A total of nine recitals in the following countries and their capitals:

    Chad (N'Djamena) Benin (Cotonou) Guinea (Conakry) Togo (Lomé) Burkina Faso (Ouagadougou) Mali (Bamako)

  • Recitals in Britain in early April, early May and late September
  • A recital May 12th in Honolulu at the Honolulu Academy of Arts
  • Performances in late May in Venezuela (Maracaíbo and Mérida). On May 25th, soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Maracaíbo and on May 27th soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Mérida. In both cases, soloist in the Ravel "Concerto in G" and the Ravel "Concerto for the Left Hand" .
  • Mid-July to early August: Seventh tour to New Zealand (13 recitals)
  • Late September: Recital in Torquay (Britain)
  • Mid-November: Recitals in Iowa, Kansas and Wisconsin

Concerts in 2001:


  • JANUARY: A recital and a week-long residency in Cottonwood, Arizona for the Verde Valley Concert Association
  • APRIL: A recital in Britain (Hammerwood Park - a stately home - in Sussex) Tour in Thailand, with recitals in Bangkok, Hat Yai, and Chiang Mai Tour in Malaysia, with recitals in Kota Kinabula, Petaling Jaya, and Penang
  • MAY: A recital in Scotland (Hotel Ardanaiseig on Loch Awe) Recitals on the four main Channel Islands of Alderney, Sark, Guernsey and Jersey Concerts abroad P&O's ship ARCADIA on a Mediterranean cruise
  • MID-JUNE THROUGH AUGUST: 12th tour of Australia, consisting of 21 concerts
  • September: Recital in Iceland in the newest hall of that country, called Salurinn, (in the Reykjavik suburb of Kópavogur) Recitals in Britain (in Shropshire and Staffordshire), including playing the Rachmaninoff "Concerto No.2 in C Minor" with the Dudley Schools Symphony Orchestra
  • LATE OCTOBER: Eighth tour of Chile, with recitals in Santiago, San Felipe, Curicó, and Iquique
  • MID-NOVEMBER: Recitals at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, Maryland and at Conrad Grebel College in Waterloo, Ontario (Canada)

  • JANUARY: Performance of the Tchaikovsky Concerto No. 1 in B Flat as soloist with the orchestra of Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
  • FEBRUARY-MARCH: Recitals in Southeast Asia, including in Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei), Kuching (Sarawak), Kota Kinabalu (Sabah), and Thailand (Bangkok, Korat, and Chon Buri).
  • MARCH: Recital in Barbados as part of the "Holders Festival" and in Roseau, capital of the island of Dominica -- organized through the U.S. Embassy.
  • APRIL: Soloist with the orchestra of Lublin in Poland (Prokofieff Concerto No. 1 in D Flat).
  • MAY: Recitals in Britain
  • JUNE: Play recitals on the island of Saipan to help commemerate the 60the anniversary of the liberation of the island.
  • JUNE-JULY: Recitals in Britain (in Suffolk and in the town of Oswestry in Shropshire).
  • JULY: Concerts aboard P&O's ship Adonia on a Mediterranean cruise from Southampton
  • LATE JULY: Recitals in Macedonia as part of the Festivals on Skopje and Ohrid, organized through the U.S. Embassy
  • AUGUST: Three recitals in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) as part of a new Festival there, a recital at the Ukrainian cultural center "Grazhda" in New York State, and recitals in Peru in the cities of Trujillo and Chiclayo -- organized through the U.S. Embassy.
  • SEPTEMBER: Recitals in Nicaragua (Managua and Granada), through the U.S. Embassy. Also, a recital in Calne, Wiltshire (Britain).
  • OCTOBER:Recital in Kingston, Jamaica, through the U.S. Embassy. Also, a recital at Los Angelas City College and a recital in Chicago at the Ukrainian Museum of Art.
  • LATE OCT.-EARLY NOVEMBER: Soloist in Poland with the orchestras of Walbrzych (Shostakovich Concerto No. 1, Kielce (Liszt Concerto No. 1, and Zabrze (same concertos as Kielce).
  • DECEMBER: Concerts aboard P&O's ship Adonia on a Caribbean cruise from Barbados.

  • OCTOBER: Recital at the University of Guelph in Canada, also, soloist in Poland with the orchestra of the city of Walbrzych (Schumann Concerto in A minor)
  • NOVEMBER: Four recitals in Britain (three in Suffolk and one in Oswestry in Shropshire). Also, a recital at the University of Waterloo in Canada.
  • LATE DECEMBER---EARLY JANUARY: Concerts aboard P&O's ship Aurora on a cruise from Southampton to Madeira, Canary Islands, and Spanish and Portuguese ports.

Concerts in 2006:


  • January: Was Artist-in-Residence for six days at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario in Canada
  • Early March: Recitals in Britain and also appearance as soloist with the Sussex Symphony in Brighton, performing the Shostakovich Concerto No.2
  • Mid-March: Went to Ukraine to perform the Saint-Saens Concerto No.2 in G minor with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the city of Donets'k
  • Late March: Recital at Los Angeles City College
  • April: Three recitals in Alaska-------in the towns of Haines, Petersburg, and Valdez, through the local arts councils.
  • June: Recitals in Britain, including in the Isles of Scilly and in Shoreham-by-Sea (part of the Adur Festival there)
  • June: Recital in the concert hall "Salurinn" in Reykjavik, Iceland
  • Late June: Performed in Ukraine as soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the city of Rivne, performing with them the Mozart Concerto in B Flat, K.450.
  • Early July: Two recitals and three master classes in Jordan, organized through the US Embassy there.
  • Late July: 17-day Mediterranean cruise on P&O's ship Artemis, playing seven recitals on board
  • Late August: Played a recital and judged a student piano competition at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
  • September: Third tour of Pacific islands of Micronesia, playing recitals on Guam, Saipan, Tinian, Pohnpei, Kwajalein, and Majuro.
  • Late October: Recital and master classes in Vilnius, Lithuania--- organized through the US Embassy there.
  • November: Recitals in Dillingham, Alaska and at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
  • December: 14-day Caribbean cruise from Barbados on P&O's ship Oceana---played five recitals on board
  • Concerts in 2007:

  • February: Recital and two master classes in Tripoli, Libya--through the US Embassy there. I was the first performer the Embassy programmed there since the recent resumption of diplomatic relations with Libya.
  • March: Two recitals and three master classes in Tunis, Tunisia--- through the US Embassy there.
  • Late March: Recital and master class in Baku, Azerbaijan--- organized through the US Embassy there
  • April: Five recitals on a cruise from Southampton of P&O's ship Oriana to Vigo (Spain), Lisbon, four Canary Islands, and Madeira.
  • Late May: Recital in Bandar Seri Begawan, capital of Brunei Darussalam (island of Borneo)
  • June: 10th tour of New Zealand----13 recitals
  • July---mid-August: 15th tour of Australia---14 concerts
  • Late September: Recital at Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina
  • October: Tour in Alaska, with several recitals including in the towns of Haines, Petersburg, and Wrangell
  • Late October: Recital at the Conrad Grebel School of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada
  • November: Recitals in Britain (including Scotland)
  • Late December---into early January (2008): Cruise on P&O's ship Aurora to La Coruna (Spain), Lisbon, Madeira, and Tenerife (Canary Islands)----played six recitals on board. Highlight of this cruise: a spectacular fireworks show New Year's Eve at Madeira.

    • May: Tour in Colombia, with recitals in the cities of Bucuramanga, Bogota, Manizales, Pereira, and Armenia (organized by the binational centers of those cities)
    • June: Recitals in Britain
    • September: Recitals and maste classes on the Caribbean islands of St. Kitts, Nevis, and Antigua (organized through the US Embassy in Barbados)
    • Late Sept---early Oct:. Recitals in Belgium---in Brussels and in the towns of Hasselt, Genk, and Izegem (organized through the US Embassy there)
    • Mid-October: Tour in Venezuela through the US Embassy there, with recitals in Maracay and Merida and a performance of the Rachmaninoff Concerto No.3 in D minor with the Orquesta Sinfonica del Zulia in the city of Maracaibo
    • Mid-November: Recitals in Thailand (Bangkok, Korat, and Chiang Rai), organized through the binational center AUA

    • Mid-May to mid-August: 16th tour in Australia (36 concerts), concluding with a performance of the Rachmaninoff Concerto No.3 in D minor with the Penrith Symphony
    • October: Recitals in Alaska (Petersburg and Haines)
    • First half of November: Six recitals aboard P&O's ship Oceana on a cruise from Southampton to Barbados via several islands
    • Early December: Recitals and master classes in Guatemala and Nicaragua (through the US Embassies there)
    • Dec. 18th----January 10th: Nine recitals aboard P&O's ship Arcadia on a cruise from Southampton to various Caribbean islands and back to Southampton

    Planned 2010 Concerts:
    As of late December 2009, there are a number of concerts already in place in 2010,
    including in Britain, New Zealand, Ukraine, India, Hawai'i, and Los Angeles.
    A number of other concerts in other places are in the planning stages now.
