On October 28, 2000, Oxidized was given permission to go to Atkins' Arboretum and play for all the people lined up to attend the annual Halloween Hayride. After setting up, some prepping of the crowd, and a thorough soundcheck, Oxidized was ready to put on the greatest show of its career. From the first screeching, distorted harmonics of Horselover Fat, to the crashing outro and extended stacked chord finale of Bruce Campbell, Oxidized bashed out nearly an hour of the most brutal, skull-crushing, and intense heavy metal ever witnessed by mankind. The loyal fans who were in attendance were gifted enough to behold this incredible spectacle, and would never be the same again. Sadly, though, not all of the onlookers were so pleased. Slack-jawed locals with no attention span soon dismissed this showcase of brilliance as nothing more than pure noise. Brainless beer drinkers yelled out lewd comments at the poor band as the sulked away in defeat. But do not worry, dear fans, Oxidized will rise again! We will not be beaten yet. And we will rip off the heads of all of those who oppose us. And to any who dislike us: "Telling us you hate our music only makes us play LOUDER!!!"
