~ 1965 ~ Waiting for the Bob Hope Show to begin!
(Stupid was the "Warm-Up Act!")
Donning my parachute to give Stupid her First Parachute Jump!
She hung on to me quite tightly ~ but showed no fear!
(We had a "Happy Landing!)
After her 1st jump, Stupid enjoyed a can of C-Rations!
(That's what I said, Dear Friends! -- She actually
ENJOYED
C-Rations!)
For reasons known only to her, Stupid did not care much for Sgt McLemore!
She would find the security of my shoulders and chatter Defiance at him!
(Perhaps McLemore didn't smell enough like a monkey! I, on the other hand .... Never Mind! ;-)
She seemed to delight in scratching my head!

She would aways slip one little hand inside my shirt, and hold my finger with the other hand, before nodding off!
(Guess she wanted to know if I tried to get away from her!)
Doing my laundry in an ammo can!
Sometimes She would jump in the can and have fun splashing around in the soapy water!
Given the opportunity, monkeys will keep themselves fairly clean.
