DORIS NORTON BIOGRAPHY

Birthdate: September Sign: Libra ------------------------------------------------------------------- Biography -version update: 1993- The musician Doris Norton began her musical carrer playing avant-garde and progressive music with a Roland System 700 and a Minimoog synthesizer containing special effetcts. In 1980 she recorded her first solo album entitled "Under Ground", then she made the albums:(1981) "Parapsycho", (1981) "Raptus", (1983) "Computer For Peace", (1984) "Personal Computer", (1995) "Artificial Intellingence". Sponsored by APPLE computer and the ROLAND Corporation, by 1985 Doris Norton had recorded 4 albums featuring electronic music that contemporary music critics and collectionists throughout the world define as 'electronic trance' music. In 1986 she became an official consultant for IBM Computer Music and recorded two compact discs for IBM using the new age /computer sound, entitled "Automatic Feeling" and "The Double Side of Science". In 1992 Doris Norton joined the independent label SOB: stimulated by her son Rex' sense of rhythm, she composed "Techno Shock Volume One" and "Techno Shock Volume two". In March 1993 she composed "Techno Shock Volume Three", containing what can be considered the most revolutionary techno metal music in the world. In September 1993 Doris Norton began a new project called "Next Objective" and composed most of the material that will appear on "Techno Shock Volume Four". ------- THE ALBUM "NEXT OBJECTIVE": it was conceived and composed in the summer of 1993 with the main objective being the desire for a change in musical orientation. The Next Objective would like to be in the vanguard and lead the way for the new types of musical trends that exist nowdays: dream music, mystic music, hybrid jazz, grunge, art hous, progressive music and hypnotrance. The "Next Objective" also represents a firm stand against the absurdity and violence of warmongers, with songs such as 'Stop The War' and 'Sarajevo Crime'.
