This all started while sitting about in my friend Mike's kitchen. After a bottle or three of wine (maybe a belt of
bourbon was involved too), it was decided that it would be cool to put Van
Gogh's "Night Cafe" on the wall in front of us. Nearly 6 months later (about 40 hours of work for me),
here it is.The colours were modified to fit with his kitchen better, using left over paint from the apartment, some
fresh colours to match his dinnerware (always on display), and a few dabs from my paintbox. Friends of ours
are sitting in at the tables and walking in the street. The waiter is supposed to be me! (Self-portraits of this kind
being a time-honoured tradition.)
