THE GALACTIC KNIGHTS NOTES
I worked on several projects between my 8th Grade and Senior year; I made
Super-8 films and videos, wrote screenplays and television series', drew
a lot of pictures of monsters and half-naked women, played Dungeons &
Dragons endlessly and created storylines and dungeon maps for my gaming --
I even created my own role-playing games. What I'm getting at is an
explanation for the following; did you think I was just stroking my ego?
The following is a breakdown of storylines I wrote for a children's
television show I was creating. The show was intended to be a mixture
of live action film and stop-motion animation, somewhat along the lines
of that cheap Saturday morning TV show called "Jason of Star Command."
The generic title for my series was "The Adventures of the Space Knights."
I later changed it to "The Galactic Knights," which was just as generic.
What follows are the storylines for each episode of the first season. Each
story was comprised of 2 to 4 half-hour episodes, much like "Dr. Who." And
I figured on 26 episodes for the first season -- which is pretty standard.

---------------------------------------
Season One:
A NEW DEFENSE -- 4 episodes
On the planet Sudra (soo'druh) the War continues. Space tanks sweep
across the planet's vast gray-sanded dunes, attacking a smaller army of
space tanks. In one of several domes wait the Sudrian President, General
Gromm of the Sudrian Defense Force, Leo Galterra of the Sudrian Science
Works, Jadd Nova and his robo-pet. Jadd Nova is the teenage son of Nilliam
Nova (the Sudrian President) -- and also hero of this series.
Having suffered the worst defeat yet, the men are arguing about
military strategies. Professor Leo Galterra explains that if the Sudrian
Army can just hold out against the attack for a little while, his team of
scientists can complete their secret project, Operation: Galactic Knight.
After several battles and defeats, Leo's team finally completes the
first secret weapon -- and in the nick of time too! -- to aid in the
Sudrian struggle. It's a giant robotic warrior called the Alpha-Knight, the
first of several new robots designed to assist the planetary defense force.
In this episode we also learn that the attacking force is led by
a creature named Pyrek (pie'reck), but his war against Sudra has not been
explained.
The Alpha-Knight eventually defeats the invading forces of Pyrek, but
is very badly damaged in the process due to some minor design flaws. It
returns to victory as a smoking hunk-of-junk.
While Leo's team of scientists set out to repair the Alpha-knight,
they reveal eight more Galactic Knights (robot warriors) that are nearly
ready for combat. Pyrek broadcasts an angry video-message to the Sudrian
people in which he expresses his surprise by the sudden turn-out and his
promise to return to Sudra shortly and vaporize the entire planet. The
threat is considered to be groundless pychological terrorism.
MASTER PLANS -- 4 episodes
Pyrek has a spy working in the Sudrian government: a Senate member.
While touring the Senate for school, Jadd Nova notices what he considers
to be suspicious behavior on the part of a particular senator. So, after
school, Jadd returns to the Senate with his robo-pet and eventually
overhears a secret communication between the traitor, Senator Groemus, and
Pyrek Command.
Jadd and his robo-pet are discovered snooping and Senator Groemus soon
captures them. Groemus (grow'miss) secretly launches Jadd and company off
the planet using a "faulty defense missle."
The "faulty" projectile is received by one of Pyrek's spaceships and
taken to Planet Pyrgra (peer'gruh). Jadd meets Pyrek face-to-face. Pyrek
even reveals his new scheme to destroy Sudra: a covert team of Pyrgrite
(peer'grite) warriors is hidden within an old abandoned aluminum mine on
Sudra's surface; they are drilling toward the small planet's core in an
effort to plant an explosive device capable of turning the entire planet
into space debris.
Jadd and his robotic pet escape Pyrek's clutches and manage to radio
a warning to the Sudrian Defense Force. Jadd also steals a warship and
heads home.
On Sudra, Groemus has been arrested and two Galactic Knights -- the
only ones now complete -- are sent into the depths of the aluminum mine
shaft to thwart Pyrek's covert drilling operation.
Jadd is under attack from pursueing warships. He radios for help.
As members of the Sudrian Defense Force arrest the covert team of
Pyrgrites, the Beta-Knight is taking Pyrek's explosive device as far away
from the planet as fast as it can. The Gamma-Knight rescues Jadd from a
fleet of Pyrgrite warships.
One of the Pyrgrites being arrested manages to temporarily escape the
S.D.F. and detonate the explosive device. Although the device was far
enough away from Sudra that the Sudrians were safe from any harm, the
Beta-Knight was completely obliterated in the explosion.
THE SPACE DRAGONS -- 2 episodes
Pyrek has formed an alliance with a race of "space dragons," who he
gets to attack the planet Sudra for him. These space dragons attack, but
are soon sent into retreat by the Gamma-Knight and the recently repaired
Alpha-Knight.
PIRATES -- 2 episodes
Pyrek enlists the aid of space pirates. The pirates exchange the
food on a cargoship heading to Sudra with specially created weeds. The
weeds grow into deadly monsters that thrive on various types of radiation,
making fire and lasers useless against them. The deadly weeds cause
chaos on Sudra until Leo makes a sonic weapon for the Galactic Knights
to use against them.
Some of the pirates are arrested thanks to information from a surviving
member of the cargoship.
In this episode all eight Galactic Knights are functional, and the
destroyed Beta-Knight is in the process of being re-created.
