Right Person, Wrong Time

Right Person, Wrong Time

I met her a few months ago and she knew I was with someone then.
So instead of giving up and letting go she tried to make sure that we stayed friends.
And I knew it from the moment we laid eyes on one another.
That she was the one and I would be a fool, to let her get away.
But I was committed and I have never been the type of guy.
To go after someone when someone else is at home, waiting on me that night.
So we put our feelings on hold and kept to ourselves, though even I know it is fate.
She is the one I want to be with, I just hope that she can wait...

(Chorus)
"You love me, you just don't know it yet." she said with a smile that could charm the hardest heart.
And I wish I could tell her she's right, but I already know what's going on.
See I haven quite made it past my last love yet, and I'm not ready for those words.
She's the right person at the wrong time, and I just want to be sure.

It wasn't easy telling her no, but I knew that it was right.
I didn't want her to be the other woman, or just a fling for just one night.
I could see in her eternity and my future shines in her eyes.
Which is why for the first time in my life, I decided to play it wise..
Then she said..

(Bridge)
It was so hard watching her leave, without a kiss from her inviting lips.
But I'm glad we waited cuz now she's mine, and I have no regrets from our relationship.

(Solo)

"You love me, you just don't know it yet..Eshe said with a smile that could charm the hardest heart.
And I wish I could tell her she's right, but I already know what's going on.
See I haven't quite made it past my last love yet, and I'm not ready for those words.
She's the right person at the wrong time, and I just want to be sure.
