My Girlfriend's Girlfriend
Umm, well.. This didn't exactly happen-(much to the relief of those of you who know me well). I just thought the title sounded funny.
My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend
John D. Parker
It was a mid-winter night the first time she saw me play.
Then there was an e-mail on my website from her the very next day.
Telling me how she wanted me and thought that we should hook up.
The next time I was around that way, she said to look her up.
It wasn’t long before the ball got rollin’ and I was her leading man.
And I’d sneak away to see her every now and then.
I was totally in love with this girl but there was a piece that didn’t fit.
What did she do when I wasn’t there, who was she with who was it?
Chorus:
Jealous I might be, but nothing could prepare me for what I was about to see.
I never would have thought she’d go down that way, but there they were lookin’ back at me.
You can imagine my surprise when I opened her door and started to walk in.
And found her in bed with this other woman, my girlfriend’s girlfriend.
I’d like to think I’m open minded, but there’s just some places I would not go.
And if that’s your thing, that’s cool for you, I just don’t want to know.
But I think she should have told me to keep me from my coronary.
That she wasn’t like the other girls, a little less than ordinary.
(chorus)
Love comes in many forms I guess, and to each their own.
But that’s more love than I wanted to handle, so I had to say, “I’m Gone”
(Solo)
(Chorus)
