After the summer following grade nine, Paul and Adam had a series of altercations (which were subsequently resolved), and, in the interim, Jon Dekel was brought in to sing. But since the altercations between Adam and Paul had been resolved, Adam was brought back in to sing as well as Dekel. What resulted was a series of jams where the line-up was the following: Paul (lead guitar), Adam (vocals and rythm guitar), Jesse (rythm guitar), Dekel (switching between vocals and drums), Aaron G. (switching between drums and guitar) and Aaron M. (bass). It was around this time that, following a rehearsal of Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" that Aaron G. stood up at the drumset and screamed in a demonic voice, "I AM THE DEVIL INCARNATE!" How ironic this was seeing as much later he was to be refered to as "Satan." After grade ten, it was discovered that Adam would not be returning to the school where the rest of the band members were enrolled. This presented a problem. Adding to this was a large fight between Adam and Paul over the summer that was not resolved for quite a while which led to Adam being kicked out of the band. Upon returning from the summer, every band member's roles were finalized and the current line-up was then established: Dekel (vocals), Paul (lead guitar), Jesse (rythm guitar), Aaron M. (bass), and Aaron G. (drums). Thus began the history of Incarnate!
