Chapter 6: Tima and Lathor
Chapter 6: Tima and Lathor

Lathor watched the green flame with content as Tima sat there, thinking.
"How does this flame work again?" Lathor asked.
Tima rolled her eyes.
"Do I have to explaim it to you over and over?" Tima asked. "We travel secretly to Hogwarts-"
"-And we use the flame to set it on fire?" Lathor interuppted.
"No, you bell brained idiot, this is how the flame works: It's ten times more powerful than a wand." Tima explained.
"If it's that powerful, then why don't you use it now," Lathor demanded impatiently. "Instead of wasting time in the basement of this stupid store?"
Tima snorted nervously.
"Because," she said. "Something's in the way,"
"What's in the way that could stop this so called 'brilliant plan'?" Lathor asked.
"It's not what, it's who," Tima corrected. "There's a person keeping us from using the flame. I don't know anything about this person, except the fact that he or she is keeping us from using the flame."
This, of course, was a lie. Tima knew just about everything about this person. She knew the person was female, and that it was utterly ridiculous that the person in particular should be blocking the use of the flame. There was something else about this person that Tima didn't want to tell Lathor about. She didn't want to tell him because he might have teased her.
"Well, if we can't use the flame, then why are we going to Hogwarts?" Lathor asked.
"Because, we have to destroy the person thats in our way, DUH." Tima said impatiently. "Have you seen Zelly today?" she added. "She seems awfully mad lately."
"Mad?" Lathor said. "She's blown her top! She's gone stark raving nuts! I saw her kick this woman off of a cart just down the road."
"I know," Tima agreed. "And she keeps ranting about some bracelet and a letter."
As if on que, the door nearly burst off it's hinges.
Zelly entered in a complete storm of rage.
Tima quickly threw a cloak over the flame.
"WHERE'S MY BRACELET?" Zelly roared. "I bet Katlyn took it. She's always liked that bracelet. 'Katwalk'. What kind of name is 'Katwalk'? Why can't she use a normal name? I think she's a dirty traitor..."
"Oh, I wouldn't say that."
Tima, Lathor and Zelly whirled around to see Katlyn coming down the stairs. No one even heard her come in.
"What are you going on about this time, Zelly?" Katlyn demanded.
Zelly leapted too her feet.
"You," she said, pointing accusingly at Katlyn. "Took my bracelet."
"No I didn't!" Katlyn roared back. "You probably lost the stupid thing!"
"Go away and shut up you two," Lathor snapped. "We don't need you bickering in here. Go somewhere else and kill each other."
Katlyn's green eyes blazed menacingly.
"Who asked you, Lathor?" she demanded toughly.
"Well, I'll ask you something," Zelly said. "Where did you put my bracelet, Kat?"
"I swear, if I hear one more thing about that bracelet, I'll blow up the whole darn blasted alley," Katlyn protested. "And don't call me 'Kat'. Call me Katwalk or Katlyn."
With that, she turned around and flounced up the stairs, cursing under her breath.
Tima turned to Zelly.
"Go on, get out of here," she said.
Zelly didn't feel like leaving. Instead, she kicked over a nearby table.
"I'm going to find that bracelet," she said. "I need it. I want it. I want it now. I'm going to get it back or my name isn't Zelma Key Zeppli."
"If all else fails, I always thought 'Eve would be a good name for her." Lathor muttered under his breath.
