In a world where money is the object of one's affection, many musicians have joined the latest trend of soliciting the gospel. Every day we hear, "So and So got saved", or "Check this out... They thanked God on their album, so they must be Christians". Who is God and what is Christian? For many, "Christian" is but a new word that they can now use in their vocabulary. Heck, it makes money, so why not?

As an avid Christian hip-hop fan, I find that many artists have veered off track to amuse their worldly counterparts. For example, many secular cuts now have "Parental Advisory -- Explicit Lyrics" printed on their covers. In turn, some Christian artists have written "Parental Advisory - Non-Explicit Lyrics" on their albums. At first glance, you would think, "OK, so an album like this obviously doesn't have any swearing on it". But what does "explicit" really mean? By definition, "explicit" means "lucid, definitive, specific, express, clear".

Now for those of you who wrote this on your albums... Are you telling me: a) that your lyrics aren't lucid (bright, radiant, shining, brilliant), definitive (precise, conclusive), specific (special, distinct), express (willful), clear (unclouded)? or b) that you didn't do the research? Since it worked in the secular industry, then it must work in the Christian industry. Right? Are we not supposed to be believers representing Jesus? Or have we fallen into the standards set out by this world?

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." -- Ephesians 6:10-15

Recent News

July 15 - I think I'm going to try something new. Since it's never worked very well having everyone try to download songs from me, I might try selling customized cd's of 10-13 songs of your chosing. We'll have to see how time permits and everything. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to mail me. To do this I'm going to have to redesign the site. I might try this for a month and see how it goes.

June 5 - I'm getting Adobe Photoshop so expect some phat new features as soon as I get it and figure it out. This little webpage won't be so little anymore. What started out as a hobby has now turned into a mini-summer-project.

Recent Updates

July 16 - A whole lot of music has been added to the list.
July 15 - The music page is updated with the Gospel Gangstaz old album. It rocks if you're into rap and you're looking for that alternative to hard core language. Also added is Sackcloth Fashion.
