xv parowek wyspa roko (cdr from xvp recordings)
xv parowek presents four tracks of minimal feedback textures, much like his half of the split with jason campbell, although with much more variation on this release. rather than staying almost exclusively in the high frequency range these four tracks [a little under a half hour altogether] are very layered and with some fierce low end explosions. more often, however, there is a slow shift from one sound to another, rather than an abrupt cut, making for an almost atmospheric sort of harshness. it doesn't waste time lingering over a certain sound too long though, and even though it's about the same length as the campbell split it seems a lot shorter. i guess i just wanted more.
