âmes sanglantes street violence (cdr from monorail trespassing)
harsh noise is the name of the game, with these two tracks 'being beat up' and 'being beat up again'. the first seems to be completely improvised, at least, it flows from one element to another  in a way that, although not entirely predictable, makes sense once it happens. the sound is appropriately violent, incredibly nasty feedback and covers all frequency ranges (with some nice deep low end). the last half uses reverb and delay to nice effect, although there's an odd clicking sound that keeps showing up that doesn't sound intentional... if it is intended then the track could just as well as done without it as it distracts from the rest of the sounds. the second track i'm guessing is a remix of the first, based on the title and the fact that it opens with the same sound (an interesting irregular feedback pulse). this track is much more chaotic, jumping rapidly between sounds with brief cuts to silence and some repeated elements to hold your interest. not a bad release, with interesting packaging designed by dominick fernow (prurient, hospital productions) with the sleeve information printed on a large folded piece of paper, the reverse of which details "the killer's route" (the type of map that would accompany a newspaper story about a murder). mine was thirty of a limited edition of fifty, so get it while you can.
