ryoji furui love (cd from ad-da)
i've had this for a while but haven't really been able to think of anything to write about it, but i just decided i would write whatever i wanted, cos as you can tell by reading the other reviews, i'm not the best at this anyway. so, 'love' is one 65 minute long track of filtered white noise, and the fact that it was recorded at all should impress you. i was listening to this a while ago with my headphones, putting away my clothes, but after a while i had to just lay on the floor. there isn't any noticeable sound until about two and a half minutes in, a low bass tone that slowly [really really slowly] transforms back into unfiltered white noise. after a while the phone rang, so i unplugged it. i had turned the sound way up, so the sound built into a crushing roar, and by the end i had a really terrible headache. [i would recommend listening at a more reasonable volume if you aren't into that.] if you've got the patience for it i would say go get it, except you can't anymore. so just check out some of the releases by ryoji furui [or one of his aliases] at his mp3.com sites or from his label.
