The rest of the trip went by without any major problems. We ended up hooking up with Ashley and another one my friends, Kayleigh, who were in Spain for six weeks.
It was the night before Leighanne and I were flying back to the U.S. We were at a club in Berlin and most of us were having an awesome time. Everyone except Nick, it seemed. He had been quiet all night and just sulking in a booth. Finally, I had had enough of it. I tore myself away from AJ, who I had been hanging out with all night cause Nick was being a baby, and went over to talk to him:
“Nick?” He looked up at me with a blank expression on his face. I sat down next to him:
“What is wrong with you? Why have you been acting weird all night?” He looked up at me sharply:
“I haven’t been acting weird. You’re the one that’s acting weird.” I gave him a strange look:
“What are you talking about? I’ve been having a good time, which is more than I can say for you.” His eyes looked sad:
“That’s what I mean. You’re acting like everything’s okay when everything’s not okay.”
“What do you mean?” Nick’s eyes started watering:
“Everything’s not okay because you’re leaving tommorrow.”
“Oh.” I shifted my gaze to the hem of my skirt and began playing with it:
“I know, Nick. But I still want to have fun on my last night with you and you’re making it very difficult for me by sulking.” He pulled my face to his and kissed me gently:
“I’m sorry, baby. I just don’t know how I’m going to be able to deal with not being able to see you everyday. You’re going back to Baltimore and then back to school, and I’m going to Florida and then out on tour. When will we see each other again?” I kissed him again:
“Let’s not worry about that now, okay? Let’s just enjoy this time together.” He smiled and I pulled him out onto the dance floor. By 2am, Nick and I decided that we were too tired to keep partying, so we climbed in a cab and went back to the hotel.

The whole ride back to the hotel, Nick and Katelin couldn’t keep their hands off of eachother. When the arrived, they quickly paid the driver and ran to the elevator. Once alone in the elevator, they began kissing again. The elevator stopped on the sixth floor and an elderly couple got on. The two lovebirds tried to keep a straight face for the rest of the ride. Nick leaned in close to Katelin’s ear and whispered:
“Do you want me as much as I want you?” Katelin looked at him, surprised for a second, and then a smile broke out on her face:
“Who said anything about that, Carter?” Nick blushed and Katelin just laughed:
“We’ll just see about that now, won’t we.” The old couple got off on the tenth floor and, now alone again, Nick and Katelin went back to kissing.
Finally, the elevator stopped on their floor. Nick picked up Katelin, never once breaking the kiss, and carried her to their room. Katelin wrapped her legs around Nick’s waist and began kissing his neck as Nick fumbled with the lock:
“Anytime today, Nicky.” Finally, he got the door open and they went in, Nick kicking the door shut with his foot. He broke away from Katelin and looked her over:
“God, you’re beautiful.” Katelin giggled:
“You just want some, that’s all.” Nick smiled, devilishly:
“Is that such a bad thing?” They began kissing once again as Nick gently placed Katelin on the bed. He slipped his tongue into her mouth and she responded eagerly. They stayed this way for a few seconds before he moved on to nibbling on her ear:
“I really, really want you, Kate.” Katelin smiled:
“Keep begging and I’ll think about it.” Nick bit down on her ear:
“Ow! That’s not going to score points with me, Carter.” Nick shifted his weight on her and she could feel how much he wanted her. She whispered:
“Is this new territory for Mr. Heartthrob?” Nick paused:
“Heartthrob? Hmm..I think that I like that one. And, no. I think that I’ve explored this area before.” Katelin giggled:
“Oh, shut up and kiss me.” Nick quickly followed directions and began to kiss his girlfriend gently. The kiss intensified and Nick’s hands began roaming all over her body, surprised that Katelin never stopped him. Until tonight, things between the two of them hadn’t gotten very far.
Nick let his hands roam to the edge of Kate’s shirt. He looked up at her with pleading eyes. She smiled and pulled her shirt off. Then she reached down and slid Nick’s over his head. Nick started kissing her all over, starting at her neck and moving his way down. When he reached her shoulders, he carefully slid her bra straps off and undid her bra in the back. He kept nibbling and licking as Katelin moaned softly and Nick took this as a proceed to keep going. He continued his path down to her stomach, lightly tugging at the waistband of her skirt. He pulled it off of her and kissed right above the waistline to her underwear. Katelin grabbed his head and pulled his face up to hers:
“I love you.” With that, she kissed him deeply. Rolling on top of him, she straddled his waist. Nick broke the kiss and smiled up at her:
“I could get used to this.” She giggled as she began kissing his neck. Moving her way down to his stomach, she began to unbutton his pants. He slithered out of them and they were quickly thrown to the floor. She moved her hand to where he wanted it to be most. Nick groaned:
“No fair. You’re teasing.” She pulled his boxers off and placed her hand back where it was:
“Yeah but you love it, don’t you?” He moaned in response. She giggled:
“You haven’t answered me…” He moaned again:
“Oh yeah.. damn…yeah I love it.” Katelin slid down further and took him in her mouth. Nick got into it and threw his head back and slightly raised his hips:
“Oh god….Kate…damn.” She stopped and Nick’s breathing slowed slightly. He rolled her over so she was laying down again and laid next to her. They began to kiss again as Nick pulled her underwear all the way off. He slid his hand between her legs and gently entered a finger. Katelin moaned in response and he entered another one. They kept kissing as Nick slowly moved his hand back and forth. Katelin squeezed her eyes tight and bit her bottom lip:
“Oh god, Nick. Please…don’t stop.” He smiled, devilishly:
“Well, if you like that, then I’m almost positive you’ll like this.” With that, he began to kiss slowly down her body until he thought she was gonna go nuts. She pulled his face up:
“Nick, I want you. Now.” Nick found his wallet and pulled out a condom. After putting it on, he entered her. Katelin gasped. Nick paused a second so she could get used to him. She looked hopefully into his eyes and he took this as a sign to go on. He began thrusting, pulling almost all the way out and then pushing all the way in. Their breathing became quicker as Nick picked up his pace. Katelin felt her whole body tense up and she screamed his name as pleasure engulfed her. Nick’s orgasm came not long after hers and Katelin watched as he squeezed his eyes shut and she felt him pulsating inside of her. Nick collapsed on her, exhausted, not even concerned about pulling out. A few minutes later, he kissed her passionately:
"I love you, Kate.” She smiled against his lips:
"I love you, more.”
