Graham Coxon was born in Riteln, near Berlin, Germany (where his father was based in the Army), in March 1969. Graham has an elder sister, Hayley, four years his senior. Music played a major part in the Coxon's family life as father Bob was a keen brass musician and an ardent Beatles fan, whose records where regularly being played in the house. At the age of ten, Graham & the family moved back to Colchester, Essex, where he attended Stanway Comphrensive. This is where he met Damon Albarn. The two became an inserable pair. Despite an age difference, the two had a great love of music, especially rock, classical & 2-Tone.
