Here's the result of my winter catalogue shopping: a wine-colored long skirt and long-shank black-leather boots. Both are very satisfactory. (From Chadwick's, in case you're wondering, a source I've found useful for years, and now you can order online.) But what, I wonder, is moleskin? Surely it's not make from skinned moles! It has a soft feel, a little like velvet. Maybe moles feel like that, I don't know, if you stroke their backs. I don't intend to put them to the test.
