Chicken Vegetable Soup ( Soups / Chicken )

Ingredients:
1 chicken thigh
1 tbsp barley
1 cup fresh peas
2 tomatoes, chopped finely
2 potatoes, chopped finely
2 tbsp ghee
6 whole black pepper corns
1 turnip, chopped finely
1 carrot, chopped finely
1 cup french beans, chopped finely
2 tbsp gram flour
salt to taste
1/4 tsp ginger/garlic
chives for garnish

Method:
Seperate meat from the thigh bone and chop. Do not discard the bone. Braise the meat and the bone in ghee till well browned. Add all the vegetables, barley and 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer till all vegetables are well cooked. Just before serving, braise gram flour in a little ghee and mix into the soup. Garnish with chives. Discard the bone before serving.
