We first heard of Rachel through a guide, who told us she is the “best cook on the river.” Rachel’s hospitality and cooking are superb. Her menus are varied and creative, and she is very accommodating for special diets. The Leaning Tree Lodge is charming, with the largest rooms we’ve seen in Ft. Smith, and always immaculately clean and very comfortable. It feels as though we are staying in a private home, but one that comes with our own gourmet chef. We have been so pleased with every visit.
