Arms of Love

~ A Christian Fellowship for Grieving Parents ~

2nd Corinthians 1: 4 "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.
When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."

Welcome to "Arms of Love," a ministry started to fulfill the need of grieving Christian parents for fellowship with other like-minded, hurting parents.

When our own eighteen-year old daughter, Lora, was killed in a tragic auto accident, I looked everywhere for an online support group. I found several, though none were based on Christian principles. I found many online Christian groups for women, but none that specialized in the unique needs of moms who have suffered the loss of a child. Thus, the genesis of this Web Group.

Though we have greatly curtailed this ministry, we now have an online Bulletin Board available for grieving parents to help one another on this painful journey. Please respect the basic guidelines posted, and feel free to post as often as you like. Remember, you can always email me for a personal reply.

Though this Web Group is open to all, it is with the explicit understanding that we are a Christian Web Group, and as such, will not engage in arguments to defend our faith with any who willingly choose to post to this bulletin board. We will, in Christian love, show respect to all posters in return, both believer and unbeliever. Additionally, this support group is not here to argue doctrine amongst believers. We are united here in our salvation bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, and under the banner of His enduring love.

Another highly recommended site is GROWW, a huge interactive website with multiple chatrooms to address specific needs (ie, murder victims, sibling loss, etc) which is designed for people of all religions, or lack thereof. It is the place where I started the week following my daughter's funeral. Another excellent group, with a Christian base, is Hannah's Prayer. It is targeted towards those who have lost young children, but has many excellent resources.

Thoughts about Heaven

"Beloved, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who 'fall asleep,' or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him...Therefore, encourage each other with these words." 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18

~ Arms Of Love ~
by Craig Musseau
(midi playing)

I sing a simple song of love
To my Saviour, to my Jesus.
I'm grateful for the things You've done,
My loving Saviour, oh precious Jesus.
My heart is glad
That You've called me Your own.
And there's no place I'd rather be...

Than in Your arms of love,
In Your arms of love,
Holding me still,
Holding me near
In Your arms of love.
